Environmental Policy

Letter of Intent for implementation of Environmental Management System at ACWWA.

Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater has always been committed to environmental excellence and efficient operation of our Authority. In order to further enhance our ability to protect and conserve our natural resources and continued efficient operation of our Authority, it is our desire to implement an Environmental Management System in compliance with ISO 14001 standards. The ISO 14001 standard is built on a Plan, Do, Check, Act model and is designed to help systematically identify areas of improvement.

The program requires that we adhere to our Environmental Policy and keep our customers and vendors informed.

As required by the Silver Level of the State of  Colorado Environmental Leadership program, ACWWA is proceeding with our Environmental Management System.

Completed activities include:
  1. Completed Environmental Policy and obtained management approval.
  2. District activities and services list completed.

  4. Objectives and target lists completed.
